Two houses in a residential area on Jørpeland in Ryfylke are evacuated as police fears that these houses can be washed away from the water.
The police announced the evacuation and the acute danger just before 8 o’clock on Wednesday. Much rainfall in the area has led to gravel and water entering the house.
At 7:30 the local fire department announced the Civil Defense because of all the water in the area.
“Currently two houses in Ekornveien are evacuated. There is a real danger that the houses may be destroyed or taken by the water bodies. Excavators have come to the site and try to lead the water away, writes Southwest police district on Twitter .
