Warning about hazardous rainfall upgraded in southern Norway

Some places can reach up to 70 millimeters rainfall in twelve hours Friday to Saturday.

The Meteorological Institute has upgraded its hazard warning about heavy rain showers in large parts of southern Norway from Friday morning to Saturday afternoon.

Locally, in some places, 30-40 millimeters can precipitate over three hours and 50-70 millimeters in twelve hours.

The rain comes first in the Agder counties from Friday morning, while Rogaland can wait for showers from Friday afternoon and evening.

From Friday night there are reports of heavy rain showers in Telemark, Vestfold, Østfold, Oslo, Akershus and Buskerud. In these areas, the buildings will decline Saturday morning.

The rainfall prevents overcrowding in densely populated areas, local floods, buck and river rapids and landslides and flooding.
