Trident Juncture 2018: Military Traffic on Wednesday 31 October in Trøndelag, Norway

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration states that there will be military columns on several roads in Trøndelag on Wednesday. Especially E6 from Oppdal and north to Værnes, as well as E39 from Orkanger to Leinstrand and RV. 3 through the valley of Østerdalen, motorists will find it possible to get behind mild columns.

Military columns consist of up to twelve vehicles, and the speed may be lower than the speed limit on the spot.

Military traffic in practice areas

The Road Administration also states that military traffic can be expected along RV. 70 between Ålvund and Oppdal, along the E6 at Berkåk, along fv. 30 at Telneset, along rv. 26 between Tolga and Sømådalen, and rv. 28 between Os and Tufsingdalen.

“We ask all road users in these areas to pay extra attention to military activity on and off the road, and following the instructions given by military personnel or other authorities,” the Norwegian Public Roads Administration writes in a press release Wednesday.
