Three towns in Oslo were evacuated after fire erupted in a building

Residents in three villages at Frogner in Oslo were evacuated. The town hall of Thomas Heftyes street as well as two neighboring yards were evacuated in morning after fire erupted on the top floor of a town hall. Two people were injured in the incident.

The fire service first went in with smoke divers and started to control the fire, about half an hour later fire was totally in control. Just after 9 o’clock in the morning, the neighbors from the two evacuated neighborhoods returned to their apartments. 

In investigation led by the Fire department it is believed that the fire should have caught in 5th floor sauna.

“We do not yet know much about the extent, but the fire department has decided to evacuate the building as well as two neighboring yards. There is still a lot of smoke coming from the roof, “says operations manager Line Skott in Oslo police district to NTB.

No serious injuries have been reported, but two persons who were in the apartment where the fire first caught is treated for smoke and fire damage. informs the police.

Oslo 100 Central reports on Twitter that there was significant smokescreen in a two-story apartment.
