Prime Minister Theresa May suggests that she will accept a long postponement of brexit if the UK can leave the EU if the House of Commons adopts an agreement.
May came to Brussels on Wednesday where she will attend a brexit crisis meeting. Here she stated that she thinks it is a pity that the United Kingdom has not yet left the EU.
She also said that if the EU allows for a longer delay in brexit, then it will be able to accept it, but only if Britain can leave the EU earlier if the House of Commons ratifies a divorce agreement with the EU.
May hope it will happen by May 22.
