The EU is trying to reassure May and the British

The EU promises to do its best to get other solutions in place as soon as possible if the Brexite Agreement’s Northern Ireland Reserve Solution ever enters into force.

The Heads of State and Government in the EU’s other 27 member states, in a joint statement, state that the controversial backup solution is only meant to be temporary and the goal is that it will never be necessary to use it at all.

However, if the reserve solution is to be applied, the EU will “do its best” to quickly reach agreement with the United Kingdom on other arrangements, it is stated in the statement.

The British politician’s fear is that the so-called reserve solution can become a “trap” that Britain will not be able to get rid of if it is first taken.
