According to DN ‘s report, the Minister of Oil and Energy, Terje Søviknes, and the Minister of Transport, Ketil Solvik-Olsen, will leave the government.
The Minister of Transport Solvik-Olsen will be replaced by today’s agriculture Minister Jon-Georg Dale. The sources of DN says that the final exchange will most probably take place on Friday.
Also, according to the sources, Bård Hoksrud, a parliamentary representative who has experience from the government apparatus as state secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Communications, will take over as the Minister of Agriculture.
Terje Søviknes’s resign as a minister of state is most surprising. According to the sources, his departure is related to his wish to return to local policy. He was the longest-time-speaking mayor of Frp when he became a minister of state in December 2016.
Frp’s parliamentary representative Kjell-Børge Freiberg, who is currently in the nutrition committee, will take over Søviknes as the Minister of Oil and Energy.
The government councils are not available for any comments as the government will take a budget conference on Thursday.
