Storm Zorbas will hit the Greek islands

The storm Zorbas is expected to hit the southwestern coast of Greece on Saturday morning.  Heavy wind and large amounts of rain are expected with the storm.

Ferries with routes in the area have been canceled and several Greek schools have been closed in advance of the storm, according to Expressen. The windspeed can reach 28 meters per second, and according to the newspaper, waves may rise to twelve meters.

People have been asked to stay indoors. Many flights have also been cancelled. The Norwegian Embassy in Athens encourages Norwegian tourists to contact the travel agency.

A tropical Mediterranean cyclone, with heavy rain and wind is expected this weekend. Several ports have been closed. We urge to contact travel agency, airline and ferry company, writing the Embassy on Twitter.

A number of popular holiday destination will experience the storm.

There are also concerns about the thousands of refugees living in crowded refugee camps on various islands in the Aegean, including on the island of Lesvos, according to CNN.
