Police reopens the rape case investigation against Ronaldo

The police of Las Vegas has reopened the rape case filed by woman against renowned football player Cristiano Ronaldo nine years ago.
The police confirmed the news to the USA Today on Monday that they have reopened the investigation of the football star.
American Kathryn Mayorga (34) shared her story via German newspaper Der Spiegel in the September end. She told the newspaper that they met at a club in Las Vegas before he later raped her on a hotel suite. The police have confirmed that the woman reported an assault on the same day in 2009, and was investigated by doctors at a Las Vegas hospital.
The episode happened during a holiday trip and in a settlement the Juventus player paid $ 375,000 to Mayorga, an amount equivalent to over 3 million Norwegian kroner at the current dollar exchange rate. Mayorga wrote that time during a confidentiality statement, but has filed a civil lawsuit to revoke it.
Ronaldo has always claimed that they had volunteer sex.
– This is not true. False news. People will promote themselves by mentioning my name. It is normal. They will be famous and mention my name. That’s part of the job, he says in a video on Instagram.
