Petrol station in Fredrikstad was robbed on knife point

An employee at the Esso station at Begby in Fredrikstad was robbed on a knife point on Thursday evening.

– An employee was threatened with a knife, and the perpetrator has left the place. Police search the area with a dog and go through video surveillance from the scene, East Police District announced on Twitter at 22.38.

Operations Manager Finn Håvard Aas says to NTB just over midnight that the perpetrator is a man. He had masked black scarves, hoods and sunglasses.

“He may have brought money and snuff,” says Aas.

The man is described as about 180 centimeters tall and dyed dark jogging pants and jacket, as well as black and white shoes.

The police are doing site investigations and testimony.

– The employee is not injured and is taken care of by the employer.

The police were notified of robbed at 21:20.
