Parliament representative arrested and charged with serious threats

The police state that they have arrested a Parliament politician and charged him with the pursuit of serious threats.

– I can confirm that the police this weekend arrested a politician for the exercise of threats. These are paragraphs 264 and 263 of the Criminal Code, a police lawyer in the relevant police district informs VG.

Section 264 of the Criminal Code applies to serious threats and has a sentence of up to three years in prison.

According to the police lawyer, the politician in police custody was until Sunday. According to VG, this is a parliamentary representative.

The lawyer’s lawyer does not want to comment on the matter, except that the client does not acknowledge criminal liability.

The parliamentary leader of the parliamentary party’s party will also not comment on the case.
