One dead and two injured in frontal collision in Oppland

Two cars met with an accident on a head-on collision. One person died and two injured in a car accident at Tollersrud in Oppland on Friday night. One has flown to Ullevål hospital with serious injuries.

Innlandet police reported the accident on Twitter at 23:10 Friday night. There were two passenger cars colliding front to front on Gausdalsvegen near Tollersrud, where the driver of one car died. In the other car there were two people who were driven to Lillehammer Hospital.

“The passenger, a man in his 30’s, was flown to Ullevål Hospital in Oslo with serious injuries. The driver, a man in the middle of the 20’s, receives treatment at Lillehammer Hospital. We do not know the amount of damage there, “says operations manager Pål Andersen to NTB.

The police are working to get in touch with the victim’s relative. The traffic on Gausdalveien was a period blocked in both directions due to the accident, but after 2-hour’s in night the road is again opened.

– We have completed investigations on the spot. Both cars are towed in and will be investigated more closely over the weekend. We have no reason or suspicion of the cause of the accident so far, “says Andersen.
