An older woman died after fire caught in a house in Hjartdal

A 90-year-old woman has been found to be dead after a strong fire in a house at Kåsa cabin park in Hjartdal, Telemark.

The police were notified of the fire at 21:21 Thursday evening, operative leader Trond Egil Groth in Southeast Police District told NTB.

“The police are questioning and investigating the matter further. There will be a security guard on the spot this night, reports the operation manager.

At 23:30, Groth said that the fire was shut down.

– A resident was registered at the address. The 90-year-old lady was found in the burned house, and confirmed the death, police report on Twitter at midnight.

– Porters are notified. Closure on site takes place. The police will investigate and investigate the matter further. There will be guard on the spot tonight.

Elling Krosshus in the Notodden fire department said there was no danger of proliferation as long as the weather persists and it does not blow. Cause of fire is not known yet.
