Former US President Barack Obama has reached Norway and is on his way to the business conference outside Oslo. The former president landed at Oslo Airport just before 11 o’clock on Wednesday.
Obama is in Norway to attend the conference for the business leaders. The event with about 3,000 participants will be held at a conference center at Hellerudsletta outside Oslo. He will stay in Oslo and spend a day in Norway.
At the event, Obama will talk to the former Nor-Shipping boss Birgit Liodden on various topics such as management, technology and sustainability.
This is the second time Obama visits Norway. The first time was in 2009 when he received the Nobel Peace Prize. The visit has meant probably only for the conference. No other plans as such have been reported.
Obama will visit the University of Southern Denmark at Kolding in Denmark on Friday, on invitation from a local business association, Business Kolding.
