Jakob Ingebrigtsen, a Norwegian middle-distance runner, is suffering from cold and thus, will not be participating in the Hytteplanmila this weekend.
The runner won two gold medals at the European Championships 2018 in the 1500 and 5000 meters race. His dad and coach Gjert Ingebrigtsen, however, confirmed that the player must be taking a drop from street race in Hole in Buskerud.
Jakob Ingebrigtsen’s older brothers Henrik and Filip, who are also middle-distance runners, are all set to start.
There are also several other Norwegian athletics profiles. Karoline Bjerkeli Grøvdal has won Hytteplanmila in the last six years and is on the starting line again.
Last year, the Bronze winner set 3,000 meters in the Championship runner-up at 31.25. On Saturday she will compete with, among others, the 10,000 meter EM Bronze winner, Meraf Bahta.
In the men’s class, the Ingebrigtsen brothers receive competition among the strong Tjalve trio Awet Kibrab, Okubamichael Fissehatsion and Senay Fissehatsion.
