Interpol received a resignation from his missing President

Interpol's President Meng Hongwei has resigned and has immediate effect, Interpol states. China has begun investigation on him.

In a statement from Interpol office on Sunday evening claims that Meng is released from his post with immediate effect. Vice-President Kim Jong Yang from South Korea is appointed as the new President of International Police (Interpol) organization.

Shortly beforehand, Chinese authorities reported that Meng was investigated for unspecified violations of the law, thus ending speculation about where Meng is located, although more questions remain unanswered.
