Housing in Østfold is overtent

A home in Råde in Østfold is overtaken. Firefighters now have control of the fire, but the house is going to burn down. No one was in the home.

The police reported the fire in a residence in Grimstadgata in Råde around 7.30. A building on five floors burns.

Six people are associated with the home, but none of them were in the building when it started to burn, informs operations manager Gisle Sveen in East Police District to NTB.

There were six men, all Polish citizens, who had registered address in the residence. Police do not ignore the fact that several people lived here.

– We are working on contacting the people who are registered at the address and have so far been in contact with two of them, says Sveen.

Firefighters now have control of the fire, but the house is overtent and will burn down.

– There will be a controlled burn. There is no risk of spread anymore, but it is a danger to the breed while the building is burning, says Sveen.

There was a time danger of spreading to neighboring houses and grass, but firefighters now have control.

– Much effort has been put into preventing the fire from spreading, says Sveen.
