Home fire on Frøya

A detached house began to burn on Frøya night to Sunday. No one was injured in the fire.

It was at 03.42 it was announced that a dwelling had begun to burn at Dyrvik.

– The fire was extinguished by the fire service, and the five people who stayed there were unharmed, says operations manager at Trøndelag police district, Trond Volden.

The five people were checked by healthcare professionals on site and then transported to a hotel where the night could be spent.

The burns on the house were limited to the second floor, but it is not known whether the house has also received water and smoke damage.

– It is too early to say anything about the cause yet, says Volden.
