Girl hit by a car at Byåsen

The accident happened at the crossing of Vådanvegen / Odd Husby’s road. The police were notified at 07.56 on Wednesday morning.

“There has been a collision between a cyclist and a car on a pedestrian crossing. A 14-year-old girl on the way to school was hit by the mirror for the car, says operations manager Svein Helgetun in Trøndelag police district.

The 14-year-old was aware of the accident and was treated by healthcare professionals. It was a woman who drove the car.

“The girl has been injured in the face and teeth, but it is unclear how serious it is.

There were several witnesses to the accident. One of them tells Adresseavisen that the girl came down the walkway and bicycle road in Odd Husby’s road, and that the collision occurred when she crossed Vådanvegen.

“We have created a case, but there will be no driver card fittings,” says Helgetun.
