The Meteorological Institute has issued a warning that there could be a flood due to increase in water levels on Tuesday. Water levels can be up to half a meter high than usual. Institute also warns about the danger of minor damage to infrastructure located in the coastal zone.
It is encouraged to exercise caution when traveling in the coastal zone by storm floods and high waves. The highest water level is expected at flood between 1 and 5 night to Tuesday and between 13 and 17 Tuesday afternoon.
At the same time, up to stiff breeze has been reported several places along the coast of both Nordland, Troms and Finnmark.
The Meteorological Institute also warns that there will be a great deal of precipitation in Western Norway on Tuesday, up to 110 millimeters. This increases both flood hazard and landslide in western Norway, but for now no more than on yellow level – the third highest danger level.
