Five people died when a small plane on the way from the national park Masai Mara in Kenya crashed, police said.
“There were five people aboard the plane and they didn’t survive,” said police chief of the Rift Valley region, Edward Mwamburi.
The nationality of the fatalities is not known, but the small Cessna plane was on its way from the Masai Mara to the town of Lodwar when it crashed. The cause of the accident is not known.
Hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world visit Masai Mara annually, known for its rich wildlife.
