A house in Oslo was caught in fire, police got a message on Saturday night at 1:48 that there was a lot of smoke from the house. Shortly afterwards, the house was overturned.
About two hours later, operations manager Gjermund Stokkli in Oslo police district told NTB that the fire service had control. At 5:30 it was completely off.
The fire in a detached house in Villaveien on Frøen in Oslo is off. The fire service will remain on the spot for a while for monitoring.
The fire department searched through the house without finding any persons. Stokkli says that most likely is a vacant house as no one is registered at the address.
– The whole quarter is blocked and will probably be a while. It is the sign for detours, says the operation manager.
The extensive fire led to a thick layer of smoke in the area and the police asked neighbours to close the windows and stay in.
