County Preparations Manager Yngve Årøy in Aust- and Vest-Agder states that they are in talks with DSB’s emergency services department, Agder Energi and Telenor, to solve the problems with the emergency network as soon as they can.
According to NRK, Telenor Kystradio, maritime communications at sea, is also significantly reduced between Lindesnes and Kristiansand.
“I think it is very important that people are careful to go out to sea in this weather, especially when we have these challenges with the kystradioen,” says Bjørn Amundsen, Deputy Director of Telenor, to the channel.
According to Telenor, some municipalities around Marnardal and Lindesnes are heavily affected, and Telenor hopes to get the kystradioen during the day, either with aggregates or when the power returns.
Storm and unlikely weather has cost many downs in these areas for a while. Everyone are requested to be travel and be safe
