Commuters experience difficult driving conditions in southern Norway

Weather forecast reports heavy rainfall in southern Norway in the next few days, and with temperatures down to zero degrees, the Road Traffic Bureau asks drivers to drive carefully.

According to the Road Traffic Center, motorists in Agder, Telemark, Vestfold and Buskerud should be extra careful.

– Thursday night and Friday, difficult driving conditions are expected due to snow and temperatures around zero degrees. We ask drivers to drive for conditions and show consideration, writes Road Traffic Center on Twitter Thursday night.

The Meteorological Institute has expanded its hazard warning about difficult driving conditions until midnight on Saturday. The notification applies to Eastern and Southern Norway. Large amounts of snow, sludge and rain have been reported, and the meteorologists are also at risk of undercooled rain the next three days.

At Hønefoss, two cars collided on Thursday night after one of the cars was thrown due to road conditions, Southeast Police District reports to NTB.

– Two women and two men involved in the accident. One of them is injured, condition is unknown, says operations manager Trond Egil Groth.

At the same time, the Oslo police warn against the smooth lead of several stretches.
