The RBK’s important player Meling is out for almost three to four weeks due to his thigh injury he took on early in the cup victory over Vålerenga.
The studies shows that he has a small stretch. He therefore will not be playing Rosenborg’s away match against erkerival Molde on Sunday.
“The preliminary forecasts indicate that he will be out for three to four weeks,” says RBK Medical Coordinator Haakon Schwabe to the club’s website.
Meling will also miss Norway’s two October matches. Norway meets Slovenia and Bulgaria in the national league on 13 and 16 October. National team manager Lars Lagerbäck can finish without Meling and suspended Håvard Nordtveit. Celtic pro Kristoffer Ajer probably also has to stand over because of the thigh injury he suffered during midweek.
For Rosenborg, the Meling injury is bad news in the gold match. The left side has played rubbel and bit for the trønder club this season. In Eliteserien he has been on the track for all minutes.
RBK tops the table four points in front of the fire. The team also fights in the cup and the European League.
