Bergen airport was closed due to wet paint

Thursday morning the planes were on the ground at Bergen Airport Flesland because the paint on the runway had not dried. The airport was opened again at 7 o’clock.

A passenger reported to Bergens Tidende that they were told that the airstrips was painted and that the aircraft could not takeoff until the paint was dry.

Operational chief Øystein Skaar in Avinor confirms that the airport was closed.

“There has been work on the runway tonight, including branding. There are two-three flights that are delayed, but we opened the runway again at 7 o’clock, he says.
