Airbus stops production of the world’s largest passenger aircraft A380 in 2021.
It comes out in a press release on Thursday.
It happens after the airline Emirates has cut orders for jumbo jets, and as a consequence few orders from other airlines, the press release says.
Emirates has been the largest customer of the A380 aircraft, and has reduced the order from 162 to 123 aircraft. They will buy 14 new aircraft over the next two years.
The A380 was introduced in 2007 and can accommodate up to 853 passengers on its two floors.
