17 evacuated after fire in a building in Oslo

17 people were evacuated after it started in an apartment building in Oslo the night of Sunday. Two people got smoke.

Oslo police district received notification of the fire in Ruseløkkveien on Frogner at 1.35. A woman has received smoke and is taken to the emergency room with an ambulance. Another person has also got smoke.

– It burns on the ceiling. The fire service is working to extinguish the fire, says operations manager Rune Hekkelstrand in Oslo police district to NTB just before 2.30.

At 3.10, Oslo police district on Twitter reports that it is also burning in an apartment. All apartments are scanned, except for the one that burns.

The fire service still has no control over the fire, they report further. In connection with the fire, Munkedamsveien is blocked from Cort Adelers gate to the roundabout at Frognerstranda.

The farmhouse where it burns has several entrances. The evacuates are from apartments belonging to two of the entrances.

– The evacuates are sitting in a bus outside the courtyard, says the operation manager.

The police first received a message that it was burning on the fourth floor of the building. First patrol on site reported that it smelled burnt in the area.
